WHAT CAN I EXPEXT TO PAY FOR WINE TASTINGS & LUNCH?
While your personal taste and drinking/eating/ordering preferences will ultimately dictate your budget for the day, past tour participants have generally spent between $8-$20 USD per person for tasting flights at each winery (you may even elect to share a tasting at any winery), and $20-$35 USD per person for lunch, not inclusive of alcohol or gratuity. As you might expect, if you choose to taste premium reserve wines, those will cost more. The standard for service gratuities in Mexico for wine tasting and upscale dining is 15-20%, similar to the U.S. standard, and tipping for service at these establishments is expected. On our pay-as-you-go tours, we will make wine tasting and dining reservations for the entire tour group at a communal table/space, and you will order/pay directly for your consumption. Our winery and restaurant partners all accept U.S. dollars, Mexican Pesos, and most accept major credit cards (however, you should not count on paying with credit cards only, as credit card terminal signal/service outages can occur).
